ESV Nwokoma Nwankwo Assumes Leadership of NIESV Rivers State Branch, Outlines Strategic Vision

Port Harcourt, Rivers State – The Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) Rivers State Branch has entered a new phase with the inauguration of its Executive Committee for the 2024–2026 term.

On August 15, 2024, ESV (Pastor) Nwokoma Nwankwo, FNIVS, took over as Branch Chairman from ESV (Chief) Hamilton Odum, FNIVS.

The ceremony, a blend of tradition and forward-looking enthusiasm, saw Nwankwo warmly welcomed into his new role. In his inaugural address, Nwankwo expressed his gratitude and outlined a bold vision titled "The 4Ds of the Treasure Base Branch," focusing on:

Development of Public Interest in Professional Practice - Enhancing the estate surveying profession through increased engagement with government, corporate entities, and professional associations.

Development of Members' Skills - Promoting continuous professional development through collaborations with the MCPD Committee and utilizing digital platforms for webinars and seminars.

Development of Branch Membership - Expanding the Branch’s membership by mentoring young surveyors and encouraging active participation.

Development of Branch Secretariat and Infrastructure - Prioritizing the acquisition of a new property and the development of a Branch Secretariat building.

The new Chairman's plans were met with enthusiasm from members, who are optimistic about the future under Nwankwo’s leadership. The newly inaugurated Executive Committee, including Vice Chairman ESV Martha Alli and Hon. Secretary ESV Christopher Iwuoha, will serve for two years, working towards the ambitious goals set forth in the 4D agenda.

As the ceremony concluded, there was a collective resolve to advance the Rivers State Branch, reinforcing its role as a pillar of professional excellence within the NIESV
